Enping Association Board Members Celebrate the Lantern Festival Gathering

To celebrate the traditional Chinese Lantern Festival and strengthen the connections among board members, the Enping Association Board of Directors held a Lantern Festival gathering on 2026 March 3 at 1:00 PM at Luna Private Banquets in Markham.

 

During the event, board members came together to share fellowship and celebrate the festive occasion in a warm and joyful atmosphere. The Lantern Festival symbolizes reunion, harmony, and good fortune, reflecting the deep cultural traditions and values of the Chinese community. This gathering provided an opportunity for members to reconnect, strengthen friendships, and further enhance the unity of the association.

 

The Enping Association has always been committed to bringing together people from Enping living in Canada, promoting Chinese cultural heritage, and encouraging collaboration and mutual support within the community. Through events like this, the association continues to foster stronger ties among members while contributing positively to the local community.

Homecoming Visit and Exchange Program

 

Gaining Insight into Hometown Development · Strengthening Community Connections

 

From March 17 to 18, 2025, the Enping Fellowship Association of Toronto organized a delegation of representatives to return to Enping, Guangdong, for a two-day visit and exchange program. The purpose of the trip was to better understand recent developments in the hometown and to strengthen ties between overseas members and their place of origin.

 

The delegation focused on learning about progress in areas such as economic development, urban renewal, rural revitalization, and eco-tourism, gaining a clearer understanding of Enping’s current landscape and future direction.

 

 

On-Site Visits and Firsthand Observations

 

During the visit, the delegation toured Jinshan Hot Springs in Naji Town, Shitou Village, and Baizhuo Footwear Co., Ltd., among other representative projects and enterprises. These visits provided insight into Enping’s advancements in eco-tourism, specialty industries, and local business development.

 

Through direct observation and discussions, members developed a more comprehensive appreciation of the city’s transformation in recent years. Improvements in infrastructure, urban planning, and the living environment were evident throughout the visit. The atmosphere during the tour was relaxed and engaging, with participants documenting their experiences and exchanging impressions along the way.

 

 

Reconnecting with Roots and Looking Ahead

 

During exchange sessions, participants expressed that the visit offered a clearer understanding of Enping’s development strategy and achievements. Continued improvements in infrastructure and urban development left a strong impression.

 

President Cen Zhenliang noted that the visit provided overseas members with a renewed and broader perspective on Enping’s growth. The experience further strengthened cultural ties and created opportunities for continued communication and exchange in the future.

 

 

A Multi-Dimensional Perspective

 

In addition to touring urban areas, the delegation visited selected schools, key development projects, and notable sites in Shahu Town, Niujiang Town, Dahuai Town, and Naji Town. From education and industrial development to cultural heritage and eco-tourism, the visit offered a well-rounded view of the hometown’s present condition and future outlook.

 

Strengthening Connections and Promoting Exchange

 

Through this homecoming visit, the Enping Fellowship Association of Toronto further deepened its understanding of local development and reinforced the emotional and cultural ties between overseas members and their hometown.
